The Blackberry Pearl is one of the first Blackberry phones designed to actually look like a phone instead of a PDA, it does not have a full QWERTY keyboard but instead each numeric key supports three characters. There is a bit of learning required to figure out how to type on this phone, but once you master typing you can enjoy full Blackberry functionality.
The Pearl is excellent for email, it can support up to 10 POP3 or IMAP4 email accounts and can sync with corporate Blackberry Enterprise servers and supports Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise. It has a quick set up wizard and messages fly into the inbox really fast, sometimes beating out PCs. It also supports popular IM services like Yahoo, AOL, MSN and ICQ. We would have liked to have seen Wi-Fi support for this phone, which would have really put it in line with some of the best phones.
This cell phone was first released back in 2006 and since than has acquired many happy users. So, if your provider supports this phone and you need good cell phone and email features, and a few media functions, the Blackberry Pearl is an excellent and attractive choice.
